Electronic Resources and Web Services Librarian.  12-month appointment with faculty status, tenure track.

JOB DESCRIPTION: 

Supervise and manage all activities in ordering and receiving electronic resources and e-serials and maintaining access to these resources; manages budget for electronic resources; establishes and maintains effective relationships with electronic resources providers; assists in maintaining Ebsco Discovery Service; maintain journal knowledge base (Ebsco A to Z, Full Text finder); oversee collection of electronic resources usage statistics; maintain library’s website.  Engage in reference service and instruction in use of electronic resources.  Some weekend work.  Supervise two library technicians (e-resources/social media and e-serials).

QUALIFICATIONS:  

ALA-accredited MLS.  The ideal candidate for this position will be a collegial, well-organized librarian with the experience and ability to manage multiple competing priorities.  S/he will demonstrate aptitude with computer hardware and software; have strong public service commitment and team attitude; and have excellent interpersonal, written and oral communication skills. Additional desired qualifications include experience with the management of e-resources and experience with website design and maintenance.  Entry level applicants are encouraged to apply.

SALARY:    

Negotiable.  Commensurate with qualifications and experience.  Benefits include university supplemented health insurance and TIAA—CREF.
