Director of Library and Informational Resources, Defiance College

Defiance College invites applications and nominations for a Director of Library and Informational Resources. The position provides vision, strategy, leadership, and assessment of the Pilgrim Library. The Director is responsible for the acquisition and effective use of information resources and technologies that support learning and teaching.

The successful candidate must have a master’s degree in library/information science. Preference will be given to candidates with knowledge of mature and emerging technologies applicable to libraries, teaching, and learning.

Defiance College, chartered in 1850, is an independent, coeducational, liberal arts institution affiliated with the United Church of Christ. The campus is located on 150 acres in a residential area in the city of Defiance in Northwest Ohio and has a student population of 1100. Defiance is a college where students learn to lead and serve in a democracy; learn to understand, appreciate, and have the skills to interact with other cultures; and learn to not only receive knowledge but to make their own knowledge by engaging in interactive experiences.
