Program Manager – Medical University of South Carolina – Charleston, SC

Job Description Summary
Directs and manages the MUSC Library Learning Commons and Information Desk ensuring that library users receive high quality information and technology support services. Support teaching and learning activities of MUSC Librarians and enhance library user satisfaction. Additional responsibilities include providing direct supervision of learning commons and information services’ personnel.

Minimum Qualifications
A bachelor’s degree and three years relevant program experience.

Additional Knowledge, Skill and Ability Preferred
Position requires experience in student and/or community engagement efforts, such as promoting and marketing services; demonstrated ability to work in an environment with a highly diverse community of faculty, students, staff, alumni and the general public; strong written and oral communication skills; excellent interpersonal, professionalism, and time management skills; ability to manage competing priorities and projects; self-starter with a demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Guidelines and Supervision
This position is a highly visible one, which requires maturity, the ability to make independent decisions, and the ability to work within constant time constraints. Must be able to communicate effectively and maintain effective working relationships with others. Must work well in a team environment.
