This position is under general supervision of the Client Engineering supervisor. This position in Client Engineering is for a Mobile Device Management (MDM) engineer. The incumbant is a recognized subject matter expert in the support and maintenance of Mobile Device Management (MDM) services. Will provide support, implementation, integration and design services for iOS, Android, Windows and other mobile devices across the enterprise. This support includes client management, encryption, security, virus protection of mobile devices attached, authenticated, and operational on the UC Davis Health Systems network. This also includes the support of e-mail, web based applications, and other UC Davis Health Systems delivered applications for the mobile device. The Mobile Device Management (MDM) engineer will also address advanced customer support and service requests related to level 3 desktop support. This includes and is not limited to virus out breaks, encryption challenges, desktop management issues and will act as an escalation point for mobile device support issues.
JOB REQUIREMENTS: MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
–Expert in generally accepted methods and best-practices for management of computer networks and hosts.
–Expert knowledge of Mobile Device Management (MDM):
o Configuration, implementation, and management for iOS and Android mobile devices.
o Security, encryption, protection of iOS and Android mobile devices.
–Expert knowledge of designing and implementing advanced Active Directory solutions to meet customer business needs especially as it pertains to Mobile Device Management (MDM).
–Expert scripting knowledge of Visual Basic, PowerShell and batch.
–Experience with project management or project lead.
–Experience with client encryption.
–Experience with Virus endpoint protection
–Experience with Malware defense and remediation
–Experience with Apple/Macintosh support
–Knowledge of Workstation image creation and deployment
–Knowledge of Workstation patch management
–Knowledge of Workstation image security hardening
–Knowledge of Software packaging and deployment
–Familiar with Single Sign-on technologies.
–Thorough understanding of software and hardware life cycle(s).
–Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert (MCSE), Desktop and/or Server Infrastructure or equivalent certification desirable.
–Experience working in a self-directed fashion, interacting effectively with senior UCDHS staff, faculty and technical personnel.
–Experience working accurately and quickly under pressure of deadlines and critical circumstances.
–Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) training or certified desirable.
–A Bachelor’s degree or advanced training in a technical discipline preferred.
