The application deadline for the UMD Libraries Research and Teaching Fellowship is this Tuesday, November 23rd.
The University of Maryland Libraries’ Research and Teaching Fellowship is now accepting applications for its second cohort of fellows, to begin spring 2016. The three-semester paid fellowship program prepares students for careers in academic libraries by providing experience in information literacy instruction, research assistance, program assessment, user support, and training. Fellows work an average of 5 hours per week ($15/hour) during the first two semesters, and complete a 120 hour academic library field study during the third and final semester. For full details, see the program website: http://www.lib.umd.edu/tl/researchfellowship
The Research and Teaching Fellowship is targeted at first year MLIS students who will be able to complete the full three semesters of the program. More advanced students will be considered on individual basis. Students currently holding graduate assistantships or positions on campus are welcome and encouraged to apply!
Applications for the spring 2016 cohort will be due November 23, 2015. Please see the website above, or apply directly at: http://go.umd.edu/applynow
